Change to NIS 2010 or stay with N360?

Hello,

Now I have to upgrade my mother's laptop (seems like I am here  a lot lately) as her Norton 360 license is about to expire.  She doesn't use all the utility functions of 360, so would it be advantageous to replace it with NIS 2010?  Which would be more secure, and which would be faster?

Also, I noticed that Symantec is running a "sale" on 360 at 40% off--if we chose to go that route, would that involve simply renewing her license or would it download a whole new program?

And if I put NIS 2010 on her machine, what is the best way to remove 360 (use the Norton Removal tool, etc.)?  Her machine is a Gateway laptop running Vista--any issues with NIS 2010 and Vista?  What would be the best way to uninstall 360 and then install NIS 2010?

Thanks, pcmom4
