I have used NIS for over a decade with Automatic Program Control disabled. Any time a program.exe is changed it causes an alert to pop-up requiring the user to assign permissions for the new file.
This has recently changed. I noticed when I upgraded Firefox to version 41 there was no such pop-up. I checked a couple of other programs with the same results. It appears that you can name any file with a file name that is currently allowed internet access and overwrite the authorized file and it is allowed access.
This is happening on my other two computers running Comcast SS as well. This was not happening then I upgraded from Firefox 39 to Firefox 40.
Is this just happening to me?
