It seems Norton/Symantec has no sensible complaints procedure, so this seems the only route!!
I have had Norton Internet Security since 2007 on a rolling renewal in May of each year. Currently I am paying £49.99. I thought this was for 3 licences, it certainly allowed 2 licences last year, and I added a 3rd earlier this year. However, earlier this year my account on the web site showed a glitch, a disparity between the machines registered in HOME-DEVICES (2 machines) and those in HOME-SERVICES-DEVICES (3 machines). I was busy, everything worked so I left it. After upgrading from Windows 10 the licence on my main PC disappeared, the various advice and software tools offered did not work, so support was invoked (Removed Case ID). The answer it seems was to remove one tablet licence and apply it to the main PC, the webpage now says I only have 1 licence and since it is now loaded on 2 machines the count of active machines is not correct and does not tally. So, 2 points:
1) Legally it seems I am paying £49.99 for 1 licence at a time when Symantec are offering 5 licences for £5 less! Can I switch to this tariff at mid-renewal cycle and at the lower cost?
2) The current situation is untenable, I need a proper solution and unless this is sorted out properly I will walk away from this product altogether...
