check it out: NIS and new Safari + NortonDNS service

hi everyone!

Well, we're at WWDC this year and attending as many sessions as we can as we learn about iOS4, the new Safari 5 and othet technologies.

As you probably know by now, Safari 5 is now available via Software Update. We're checking it out and it is clear that the NIS 4 for Mac phishing toolbar does not work with it. We're looking into it and we will let you know when we've got it fixed. Until then, you can always use Firefox if you enjoy that functionality.

You may have heard about NortonDNS being released a few weeks ago but just in case, check out http://nortondns.com/.  This is a free service that works great on any device that you use to connect to the Internet. It's basically a secure DNS solution--if you try to go to a website that we know is malicious, we'll make sure you know.  There are instructions on how to manually change your DNS settings on the page (I actually changed them in my router at home and it works great) and we're working on an application that will change them for you and switch back to your original settings if you are in an enterprise situation where IT doesn't want you to use your own DNS. It's a really cool service that offers a great level of security and we're getting reports that it's really fast--I know that my web surfing is much faster than it was before I used the new settings.  And it's free!

Hope you check it out.
