Child bypasses time limit easy, what can i do to prevent this?

When the time limit is reached, my son is logged out. He then immediately logs back in and can watch YouTube for another minute until he is logged out again. He then logs back in within seconds and can watch YouTube for another minute until he is logged out again. So he just keeps watching YouTube for half the night. What can I do? I wanted to prevent him from continuing to watch YouTube at night.Note: Please do not post Personally Identifiable Information like email address, personal phone number, physical home address, product key etc.

update: on the pc of my other son this happend only once and then he gets logged out immediately. its windows 11 new installation.

Hi cassiopeia654,

Thanks for reaching Norton Family forums.

Ideally, when the daily time allowance is over/curfew time is reached, the child will be able to login thrice with one minute countdown per day to save any unsaved work.
After three times, Norton Family will display an overlay window within few seconds preventing the child to access the normal desktop.
Even if the overlay window is closed, the system will get locked and any login attempts made will result in the same behavior (overlay window being displayed).

If you’re not seeing the above behavior on the child’s device, kindly collect the logs from that device and share them with us.

We have sent you a private message with the necessary steps for collecting the logs from your child’s device.

Additionally, if you have configured any other parental control product on your child’s device, we recommend uninstalling it to ensure the smooth functioning of Norton Family.

Thanks,
Norton Family team
