Chrome and Norton

Why does Chrome 'require' a norton toolbar? I have never needed this before, yet having switched from IE to Chrome, I am now bombarded with warning dialog boxes purporting to be from norton/symantec. What is going on? Must I uninstall Chrome and go back to another browser? Or do I need to look for another security product that can protect without sending marketing messages every time I sit at my desk?

Really boring to have to be doing this rather than work.

After many many years with Symantec/Norton, I am not a happy customer

Hi,Hlauben. Welcome.  Yes, Norton is compatible with Chrome.

I'm running the latest versions of both with no problems.

However, I don't use the vault or ID Safe so others may chime in.
