Chrome & MS Edge Webcam access - Norton popups

I have Google Chrome & MS Edge on my computer, both of which I've denied access to my webcam.  Within Norton I have set these browsers so that their access to webcam is BLOCKED.

I am CONSTANTLY getting popups from Norton (360Deluxe) that these browsers have requested access to my webcam.  These supposed requests are when I am generally web browsing.  It has nothing to do with using an app that does need webcam, such as video calling.

If I select for more info, the "threat" list shows the webcam access request, and says re further action that NONE IS REQUIRED.  So Norton is wasting my time showing me these popups.

Every time I hit the X in the top right corner, it says "don't show me again", but only a 3-5 minutes later the popup shows AGAIN.   And AGAIN.  And AGAIN while I am logged into the internet.

These popups are annoying.  They are covering the screen content, they are wasting my time.  There is nothing in the Norton setting box for stopping these.  The "background task notifications" are not related to this.  If I have set the webcam access to blocked, then that's what I want..... I do NOT want Norton telling me every few minutes that the browsers are requesting access.

Please someone tell me how to stop these popups.

And if I can't, then Norton needs to change its programming - how do I request that?

Thanks everyone.

You are welcome. Glad we could help.

Thanks to Permalink for pointing out that I have to actually move the cursor down over the words Down Show me Again, until that gets underlined, and then click on that.  Seems sort of obvious now !!.

I did it a couple of days ago and haven't had the pop up since when logging onto the web a few times.

Adding the snips was good too.  Well done to you.

posting snips for users that pass this way

When you hover your cursor over the X and you see Do not ask again, are you moving down to click on Do not Ask again? If not you are just closing that window.
