I am asking this on behalf of my friend and it is a little complicated.
He was using Windows 10 (upgraded from Windows 8.1). Norton 360 was working fine. He started having problems with Windows 10 so he looked into reverting back to 8.1. As he had had Win 10 on there for more than a month he did not have the option to role back the install. He tried to reset the system but this only reset all of the settings back to Win 10. However the problem is that his subscription to Norton ran out yesterday!!!!! In resetting the system it removed all of the programs (including Norton) so I thought if he logged into his Norton Account and downloaded it from there and then renewed it then there would be no problem.
That was a mistake as when he downloaded the installation file it states that it cannot be run on the system. So now he has a Win 10 system but has no way of putting Norton back onto it. Is there anyway in which he is able to reinstall Norton (and which version) and the process he would need to follow to do it. He is not exactly technically minded but he can follow instructions.
Thanks in advance of any assistance.
