Clicked on Scan Facebook Wall and was sent to fbcdn.net

I clicked on Scan Facebook Wall and instead of being sent to the normal Facebook log-in I was sent to what looked like a normal facebook page but the safeweb only had the green OK instead of the Norton Check. When I clecked on safeweb I was told I was fbcdn.net. Even though the address bar says Facebook.com.

Should I be worried?

Hi james,

          fbcdn.net = Facebook Content Delivery/Distribution Network

Which means Facebook is using multiple servers to store data like Pictures, Texts, audio, scripts, Flash. This will increase the performance of the user who is browsing the Facebook websites, Because the data comes from different severs which will shorten the loading time for the users and the bandwidth for the Company. And because of the multiple servers more number of concurrent users can browse Facebook at the same time. So it is nothing to worry about the  fbcdn.net . All the servers were owned by facebook, if you ping facebook.com you will get reply from 69.171.229.11 and for fbcdn.net 69.171.224.11 which mens the servers are having different nodes.

Thank you both for the replies. I believe I am okay.

I have scanned my computer a few times and there have been no issues.

Thank you both again for the info and the help.

Glad to hear that you got the clarification about it...:robotvery-happy:
