I installed a couple 2GB drives on a new MegaRAID controller, and tried to install a Windows-generated image, with no success. I was told it couldn't be done with Windows, but could be done with Ghost, so I purchased Ghost 15.0. Ghost will write to the drive with disk copies (not what I want to do), but it will not write a Ghost system image to the drive. If I try to do it from Windows, it recognizes the drive then stops and says I have to do it from the recovery environment. If I boot with the recovery disk, the drive is not recognized as a potential destination.
I'm running Win 7 Professional 64 bit. The Norton recovery disk appears to just be a Windows recovery disk with Norton software, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me that it can't do what Windows recovery can't do. Have I completely wasted my money, or is there a way to get this done?
