Cloud Backup Data Centres

Hi there,

I run a small business (micro size) and for compliance reasons I need some security related information regarding the NortLifelock Cloud Backup as I use it to back up business and some client info;

1. Where is the data held - i.e. which country is the Cloud Backup data centre located?

2. Does that data centre have and certifications attributed to it e.g. ISO2700x or SOC 2 etc.

3. When backing up, does the link between my laptop and the cloud backup data centre implement encryption, and if so, at what level?

4. Is the data at rest encrypted - either physical or logical. and if so, at what level

Any answers to these would be really helpful, thank you.

One thing to remember is that the Norton line of products are aimed at home consumers that generally are wanting to back up their family photos and documents. So the details you are asking for would not even be understood by many users. If you need that kind of specific information for a business, you should be looking at a business oriented backup product.

In fact having some more information would be really appreciated. The Norton site is rather poor in details.
