I am using Norton Internet Security v21.2.0.38 from Comcast.
I have a VPN pipe setup using the software from Viscosity. The VPN provider gives me the IP address 10.9.0.109. I can route out thru this VPN pipe, but I want to make sure all my traffic is thru this VPN pipe using Norton "Program Rules"
I have setup and tired many "Program Rules" but they never see the 10.9.0.109 address.
I have a drop dead rule as the last rule and in the log it shows the ip address of 10.9.0.109 but the "Allow" rule for 10.9.0.109 above it is not followed...
I am guessing that the 10.9.0.109 is a NAT'ed address from my VPN provider.
Should Norton see these addresses? Is there something special I have to setup to see NAT'ed addresses???
Is this NAT problem from Comcast's version of Norton???
I have local Non-VPN NAT 192.168.1.x and Norton does not see these either...

Are you in fact a Comcast Business Class customer? I am not aware of the differences between the Norotn Internet Security Online that is provided to you and the retail Norton Internet Security.
If no one can help you here, you may desire to try on the Comcast Business Security Board:
Maybe I am missing something or not understanding, but why are you wanting to create program rules in this situation? As long as the VPN program has an access permission of "Auto" or "Allow" in the Norton Firewall Program Rules, you shouldn't have to worry about IP addresses. Are you actually having connectivity issues?
