Command Processor

For the last couple of days I have gotten the following popup "Command processor not working"

I have just X out of it but now I find that i cannot access certain websites, computer freezes etc.

Is this some kind if virus and can anyone help?

Thanks

Instructions seemed a little more detailed than I was prepared for but I was able to use the malwarebytes anti-malware remover tool and it did find the "fakealert trojan" and removed. I did this in safe mode and ran again after startup and it did not find anything this time. It did help as I do not see that "command processor" popup anymore, but I believe that I still have issues as computer is slow and I also get the "high CPU usage" regularly and I am not running any programs that would cause that issue. After using for a while it just gets extremely slow and eventaully I ahve to shutdown and restart

I have a HP 3400f model with Vista Home Premium SP2,  32 bit sysyem with AMD Athlon 2.70 GHz, with 4.00 GB memory.  I have Norton 360 security

Thanks

User just can't follow instructions, the thread is not in the link I gave they decided  to go to another area, must think they didn't have any infection, and decided not to go to the Malware Removal board
