Compatibility mode installer

I have just finished reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows vista and I am attempting to reinstall Norton 360.  I have run the product removal tool to make sure that everything is off of my computer but when I attempt to install Norton 360 after downloading it from my account I get this message:

 

A problem has occurred that needs your attention:

N360 will not install in compatibiity mode.  Close the window and restart the installer in normal mode.

 

Compatibiity is indeed mispelled on the screen.  That is what comes up when I try to run it.

 

I have closed the window and right-clicked on the installer and then clicked on the compatibility tab only to find that "run in compatibility mode" is already unchecked.  I have tried checking it and then running the installer.  Same message.  Then unchecking it and trying it again.  All to no avail.

 

Any ideas?

I believe so. I down loaded both, but I was away from the computer when they installed. I did not see sp1 or 2 listed. I’ll do it again.

WINKEY + Pause key will show you what service packs are installed ....

Reinstalled both service packs, Norton up and running. Thank you for your support. Harry
