I uninstalled my Norton so the internet would work a few weeks ago. Is there anything from Norton that the problem is fixed and that I can reinstall with confidence?

Same issue. I found that if I go into the Smart Firewall setting, and change ‘Automatic Program Control’ to: ‘Allow’, then suddenly all my access is restored.

I have been using Norton for years without a problem. Now am finding most of the sites I try to access on Firefox are blocked. All these sites work on all the other browsers. When I disable Safe Web, I am able to access all sites on Firefox. I have searched the web for solutions with no answers. I have tried all the so-called solutions - none work. I am using Mac OS 10.15.7 Catalina. I have updated both Firefox and Norton. No difference. I am strongly considering deleting (uninstalling) Norton. It has been about 2 months now that I am forced to use other browsers. What else can I do??

How do you turn it off. The switch is hidden. I found it by chance the other day. I have removed Norton from my mac mini in an attempt to get it to stop. Still internet traffic is blocked to all browsers. So I cannot reinstall and search for the switch.
