Comprehensive scan now takes only a few minutes? is something disabling 360?

used to take 45 minutes to an hour to run a comprehensive scan. now all of a sudden it only takes a couple minutes. the virus scan part sometimes takes less tha 1 minute to complete now.  never used to take so little time. is this normal? or could there be some kind of worm/virus disabling the scan?

Hm that happens to me occasionly. I will select Comp. scan and then I minimize the window for 1 minute, come back, and it is already on disk defragmentation! Usually, scanning my HDD takes ~30 minutes.

they have all been running that fast - until tonight. just ran a Comprehensive scan, & it took about 40 minutes. there was a larger than usual update, maybe a bug got fixed?

What is your Norton 360 version? It’s possible that your system wasn’t fully updated, though I can’t be sure. Have you seen any super fast Full Scans since? Thanks!

just ran a Comprehensive scan & it took only a couple minutes again.

a Quick scan took about 45 seconds, not around 15 minutes like that used to.

I notice that my comp. scans also take a couple seconds. I clicked the more info link under virus and spyware scan, and i see the scan took 2 seconds and no items were scanned.

That seems a bit odd. Does this happen with every Comprehensive Scan you run? Or did it just happen once? Have you tried contacting our support team?

That would be a great first steps to finding out if there’s a problem. I apologize if you’ve already contacted our Customer Support, but the issue still is not resolved. If so, could you provide us with your system information and the exact version of Norton 360 installed? Thanks!
