Virus scan results included 2 compressed file items (.zip and .rar) that Norton 360 could not remove "Removal failed (access denied)". I then removed manually by deleting the 2 files (not sure why access was denied to Norton). Now Norton 360 continues to report these 2 risk items to me, even after a complete rescan of the system. Selecting the "Remove *" option for each item fails, now possibly due to the file no longer existing, but I would expect Norton to realize the file no longer exists and remove the risk item from the list so it stops prompting me.
Please advise if there is a way that I can remove these 2 items from the Unresolved Security Risks list. I've searched the registry and hard-drive for any entry that resembles the 2 items in the list but no luck. No luck in the FAQ or forum search either.
Also tried creating a blank file with the original filenames in the original directories but Norton must realize that the file is not the same as the source. I have not tried going out to the internet to hunt for the original files with the virus' in them. That seems like an unrealistic solution anyway.
Any help is appreciated. This should probably go into a bug report as well
