Compressed File Scan Looping - Concerns With Disable Recommendation

<< EDIT:  Oops, still getting used to the forums.  I thought "solved" was global for the thread, not to indicate one post as the accepted solution.  I sure didn't work through the issue by myself (!), but don't see any way to cut the "solved" from my own post.  Sorry:smileytongue:  >>

Actually there is a way but since only the original poster of the problem (or a moderator) can set the Solution flag only they can unset it.

Since I'm neither I can't check that this is absolutely correct but either on the original post or on the one marked as Solution ( I would guess the latter) click on Options up top right when you are reading the message and scroll down the list -- there should be something there to Remove the Solution Flag.

But the important thing is often to have the OP say it is solved and then others can read the whole thread and find the bits of the jigsaw puzzle!

Yes, huwyngr, I see what you mean about how an option to remove the solution flag appears in the post where I added it.

But based on your comments and dbrisendine's, I guess it's OK to leave it as is.  Perhaps the removal option would be more useful for situation where it turns out the OP labeled the issue as solved prematurely -- which is NOT the case here.

Right – I’ve seen posts where the OP said he clicked on Solved by mistake …
