Greetings all! I have a friend who is having a problem with her NAV. She left town for a few days and turned her computer off. When she came back and booted her computer up, she noticed the red X on her Norton icon in the task bar. It gave her the following message....Computer At Risk: Virus and Spyware Scan Risk.
Everything appears to be turned on and functioning as it should. She ran the updates and a full scan and each completed without error. The only thing she can't do is the auto fix option. When she does that it gives her the page cannot be displayed error. Otherwise, she can access the internet without any problem.
Her renewal is up to date, all options are turned 'on', all scans are up to date, and there is nothing in quarantine. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this red x issue and what I can have her do to get rid of it?
She is using Norton Anti-virus 2008 on a Windows XP Professional machine.
