When I reboot my computer after restore succeed, my computer show a message up in windows boot manager as below.
I was confused that my old drive only have one OS on it(Windows7 professional), but my new drive became a dual OS and ask me to choose which OS I want to boot. In this case, no matter which OS I choose, my computer will work in windows 7 professional.
My old drive has two partition in it(system reserve & C drive).
1. Is there anything I can do to prevent this issue occur?
2. Has Symantec fixed this issue yet?
1. A workaround... After you complete the restore, while still in the Recovery Environment, use the Recover My Files wizard (Recovery Point Browser) to restore the original BCD file located in the boot folder on the active partition. It could reside on the System reserved Partition or the partition Windows resides on.
2. I believe it has been fixed in Ghost's cousin, SSR (Symantec System Recovery). Since Ghost is now discontinued, it will not be fixed.
Come on Symantec, give us a SP 2 with these bug fixes!
