Computer broken, need to add same service to replacement computer..?

Hi there,

I recently bought a new computer, which to my dismay was defective. I have already installed by Norton antivirus on this computer. My computer company has sent me a new computer, and I was wondering on how to go about installing my current service onto my new computer.

My initial purchase of the Norton product was valid on three computers, my computer was the second to get installed with the service, therefore I have one installation left.

My only concern with just typing the same product key in is that, it will then begin to download and subtract from the number of remaining downloads, leaving me with zero left. My previous (2nd) download is unusable as this computer is unusable.

Please inform me on the best solution to this issue. All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank-you

Hi, HeavenSent, and welcome to our community!

Fortunately, there's an easy fix for your situation. Contact the helpful (and responsive!) folks of Norton's Live Chat customer service staff, and explain that you are replacing a defective computer with a new one, and they'll be able to free up the license that's on your defective machine so you can install it on your new one.

It's that simple :smileyvery-happy: (Note, too, that you could simply install your one remaining license now, and use this option to free up your third license afterward; the choice is yours.)

Let us know when they've got you all set!

Please be careful to completely remove all other security trialware from the machine before installing Norton.
