My computer was running a little slow so I downloaded the free pc checkup from Iolo to see if it could find anything. It detected hundreds of registry and other problems on my pc. Could this be true, or is the program exaggerating the problem so I buy the paid version of the software? I have Norton set to do pc tuneup tasks regularly, so shouldn't Norton fix these problems automatically?
It found 682 registry irregularities and also said drive c shows signs of corruption. I ran a Norton scan and it found no problems. The conduit problem seems to be fixed now, malwarebytes did not find anything wrong.
Hi,
For potential disk errors or problems refer to this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee872425.aspx
See if it helps and if it detects anything...

Hi,Weatherman. I'd be wary of a program who comes up with that many so called errors. If Norton shows no problems and other scanners like MalwareBytes or SuperantiSpyware, I'd save your money.
A Windows file scan such as sfc /scannow using Administrator privileges from the Command Prompt, will check for system file errors, as will chkdsk.
CCleaner will also help clean up your system.
