For the past couple of days my computer will not go to sleep. When I ran the command powercfg -requests, I got this response "SYSTEM:
[SERUICE] \Device\HarddiskUolume7\Program Files <x86>\Norton Internet Security\Engine\21.2.0.38\nis.exe <NIS>"
I also ran the command powercfg -energy and got this information "
System Availability Requests:System Required Request
The service has made a request to prevent the system from automatically entering sleep.
Requesting Service | NIS" |
When I reboot, everything is fine for a while (i.e. the computer will sleep normally), and then after a number of hours, it won't sleep and when I check with powercfg -requests, it indicates that NIS is preventing sleep.
Does anyone have an idea what's going on and how to fix it?
