I started a thread late last year, when I had NIS 2010, to report that automatic Norton tasks, such as pulse updates, were starting so frequently so that my XP system never got a chance to go into standby mode went left alone. We eventually figured out that it was necessary to change the Windows setting so that standby was set to start after only 25 minutes. With NIS 2011, the automatic tasks seem to be scheduled even more frequently, because now even 25 minutes isn’t a short enough period. At that interval my computer once again remains on constantly, thanks to Norton. Anyone else notice this?
