as I said I have joined the log lookers. But don't really understand these.
On the connection log where it shows outbound connections when web browsing, what does it mean by bytes sent/bytes received?
On an out bound connection are bytes sent the ones going out of my computer?
What version of Norton are you using?
Using NAV2008
I was meaning is the bytes sent coming from my computer ot to the website and the bytes received the incoming info?
You always have incoming and outgoing traffic. Your best bet is to upgrade to NIS 2009 for free. Also here is a good program to monitor your connections.

You are correct. The bytes sent represents the number of bytes sent from your machine to the server over that connection. The bytes received are the number of bytes received from that server over that connection.
Byte is a group of 8 bits that usually represents a character or a digit. Example: the byte 01000001 represents the letter A.
Bit is the basic unit of data in a computer.
