I have Norton 360 on desktop with Windows 10. Somehow things have gotten messed up in connecting to my 5G network. Icon says I am connected to NSUWP3 public network while status under settings says I am connected to my 5G network. I have rebooted router, rebooted computer, reinstalled WAN drivers, cannot do step 2 since it says need administrator and I do not know how to get there. When I connect to VPN it says connected and then in about 20 seconds it says connection lost. Help, help!!
Sorry I misunderstood (yet again...
) 5G is the latest cell technology. I now see you are referring to the 5Ghz wifi connection from your router. Were you using this same connection before the issues started?
There might be some pending Windows or Norton updates that might be affecting your network that need a full system restart to complete.Have you restarted your computer? Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
Don't know what a tethered 5G connection is....wifi is wireless and computer is wireless so I had them connected and
everything was working well until 3 days ago.
Is there a reason you are using a tethered 5G connection instead of wifi or Ethernet on your desktop computer?
