Constant "outdated" message despite multiple updates

On my iMac I have the latest Norton 360 8.5.7. and macOS Catalina 10.15.5.  Over the past couple of days the Norton 360 constantly shows orange and the message "outdated virus definitions".

I then run update and get the message but also at the same time the contradictory message that they are not up to date!

I have repeated the "fix this issue" multiple times for the last couple of days, but it is not fixed!
