I have 3 issues I have identified and I tried to get help from support. 1) There are 2 exe files that are in my Norton Security Deluxe history. abMusicSetup.exe and abPhotoSetup.exe are files on my computer with the pre-loaded package, except that I upgraded to Windows 10 (from Windows 8.1) and used the selection "remove all files". I spoke to MS and they said that "essentially they are malware" when I probed them about the listing in the history of Norton. So, I asked Norton if they could be put into the exceptions folder of Norton. 2) The vault does not always open to enter the password to log into a website using the vault. 3) The toolbar is not showing on Chrome.
The agent that worked on my computer asked to reinstall Chrome but I had just done that the previous day or two before the chat. So he went to my Google folder (localappdata) and renamed my Google folder. Then, he deleted my user files. Now, I had to sign off, but I signed back in and recontacted Norton. Now, I'm told that all my bookmarks are lost.
This does not seem like a worthy solution to the three problems I described and the agent I just chatted with said that I couldn't speak to a supervisor, but that one would call me in 24-48 hours. These issues should not have been difficult to fix; and, I would want a refund.
