When will it be patched?

Seems ridiculous  this day and age not to be able to scan a downloaded file on demand from the right-click menu

Hi, I'm sorry but NIS and NAV 2008 does not support this feature in 64-bit Windows. I agree it's a big miss. It is however a big chance it is included in the next major version I hear!

Correct.
Not sure when but will be a nice new feauture

I was told by support that it will be patched.

I have the same problem but I have added norton to my SendTo folder so that I can scan files and folders using that.

Type shell:sendto in run box and make a shortcut to Navw32.exe inSendTo folder defaul location is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe"

This way you cand scan both files and folders without making custom scans in Norton.

Hope this helps until the patch fixes this issue.
