Continual ccSvcHst.exe Problems

I have had continual problems with the ccSvcHst.exe file in Norton Internet Security since the NIS 2012 version.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled NIS several times using the Norton Removal tool and it was stable from Sept 2012 up until May 12 2013 or so, when I started having problems with the ccSvcHst.exe file running and draining the CPU yet again.

So again, I’ve removed the program, rebooted, downloaded a fresh copy, run live update, turned off the idle time optimizer, done a scan, TWICE and ccSvcHst.exe is running at 45% or more almost all the time. When Windows 7 did an update I had to shut down the computer it was getting so hot with Norton hogging the CPU.

I am using version 20.3.1.22 of NIS, so am right up to date and the problem is still happening frequently, at least once a day, sometimes more often.

I can’t get through to live chat or through to Symantec on the phone.

I just don’t understand because the 2011 version (my first year) never had a problem, but this bloody file has caused so many problems for me since January 2012.

I know I'm not the only one that has this problem but HOW LONG does it have to go on? I am thinking I should try to get a refund and move on to a more stable program. Is Symantec ever going to fix this problem for customers?
