I purchased a Norton 360 license off the Norton Website about 2 months ago which gave me access for 3 computers. I have only used 2 of these licenses. Having installed it on my Toshiba laptop (running win 7 if that's relevant) it initially worked fine. About 10 days ago it would continuously require me to activate the software every time I started up the laptop. I thought "Fine, annoying as hell but at least I still have the software."
This morning I started up the laptop and tried to activate the software as usual and got the message that I had exceeded the number of installations allowed for this license.
Am frankly pretty annoyed. I paid several hundred dollars for this software and have in no way attempted to obfuscate any DRM or licensing rules in my use of it and instead of the 24 months protection I was promised I have received roughly 2.
For the record the other computer I installed it on has suffered a motherboard failure so I have no way to check if it is just my system.
I am pretty sure that I am screwed as I don't have access to nor can recall my original login details. I have my original product key but I assume that has been deactivated. If anyone can help me solve this problem please reply.
