Convert/Upgrade Norton 360 for gamers to Deluxe

I have a subscription to Norton 360 already.  I just recently purchased a new gaming laptop that had a trial copy of Norton 360 for Gamers installed. I'd like to upgrade/switch over to my normal Norton Deluxe subscription once my trial period is ended. Any Idea how I'd do that? Would I need to uninstall gamer and install 360 or can it be done just as an upgrade without all that?

I do need to remove one license to make room for my new machine, but I easily ( I'm a pc hog)  have a couple of machines I no longer use hogging up old licenses I can remove.

Thanks all.

Were my new machine.  I'd clean uninstall Norton 360 for Gamers and pull fresh Norton 360 installer from my Norton account.

Were my new machine > I'd confirm Windows Fast Startup off.  Just me.
Were my new machine > I'd clean install Norton 360

1) Norton Remove and Reinstall tool > Advanced Options > Remove Only

2) clear out Norton remnants before re-installing Norton 360

3) Download and install your Norton device security
https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/norton-download-install/current/solutions/kb20090708112600EN

4) after clean Norton 360 install > run Norton LiveUpdate a few times + machine Restart (not Shut down) a few times. Repeat.  Norton 360 = 22.23.9.9 (at this time)

5) Review Norton Settings to your preference.  Create Backup Sets to your preference.

6) run Norton 360 Full Scan (once)

7) run Norton LiveUpdate + machine Restart (not Shut down)

Please post progress.

Maybe, try activating the Norton 360 for Gamers with your Norton 360 license key...if you want.

Remove a device from your Norton account
If your license is installed on an unused device and you want to remove it, you can do that by removing the device from your Norton account. Once you remove the device, you'll no longer have protection on the device. The removal only deactivates the services installed on the device and does not uninstall the application.

If the device that you remove is not connected to the Internet, Norton completes the removal process when the device connects to the Internet next time.

  2. On the Device Security page, identify the device that you no longer want to protect.

  3. If you do not see the device, click View History link at the bottom of the device list to see your older inactive devices. If you still do not see the device, the device may be associated with a different account.

  4. Click the More options icon available below the device and in the menu that appears, click Manage License.

  5. In the Manage Licenses page, select Remove License and then click Yes to confirm.
