I am trying to upgrade my 250 GB HDD on my Home vista desktop to a 500 GB HDD
I have the new HDD connected and am using copy drive in Ghost 15 by selected the following flags
- Check: source for file system errors
- Check: destination for file system errors
- Check:L Resize drive to fill unallocated space
- Check: Set drive active (for booting OS)
- Unchecked:t Disable SmartSector copying
- Uncheck: Ignore bad sectors during copy
- Check: Copy MBR
Destination partition type : Primary
Selected Drive letter : None
The new drive is unallocated.
The Copy drive runs for about two minutes and then errors out with the following:
Error ea390023 running job Copy Drive
-- Error ECBF1783: Cannot complete copying of HP (C:\) drive
-- Cannot copy source drive to destination location
-- At end of somthing
-- Cannot copy source drive to destination location.
-- At end of something

Support via chat advised me to ensure that the new drive is Basic not Dynamic (which it was) and that the following services were set to Start and Automatic and then restart te computer and try again:
- Norton Ghost --> was already on started and auto
- Symantec Sym Snap --> was started and manual, so set it to auto
- Sym Snap --> was blank and manual, so changed it
- Terminal Services --> do not see this service
- Remote Procedure call --> was already on started on auto
- Event Log --> do not see this service
- Plug and Play -> was already on started and auto
After following the above instructions, I still get the same error. Unforunately I lost the chat connection when I restarted the computer. Phone support promised to call next day and never did.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
