Copy drive w/ Ghost Win 7

So I just picked up a new SSD.  I am attempting to copy the boot drive over to it.  I purchased a kit that came w/ norton ghost 15.  i have performed the live update and it says there are no newer versions.

I open ghost, click on advanced, copy drive, select the system reserved, next, the destination is "New Volume (*.\), on the next page I check for errors, set the drive active for booting, copy the MBR, and do not assign a drive letter.finish, yes (overwrite any data) and the program stops immediatly the a useles error "Cannot complete copying of System Reserved (*.\) drive.  The more help on the web is clearly broken too as it only wants me to "upgrade your norton product"  I installed it yesterday!  It is version 15.0.1.36526.

I was trying to follow the directions here:

http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Ghost-15-on-Windows-7-to-clone-and-replace-Boot-Drive/m-p/356996

and here:

The drive does not have any letters assiged to it in Windows.  It has never contained data before.  It does show up in the disc manager.

My impression was that after i copied the SRP, I would do the copy comand again with the C: drive partition.

Any suggestions before I decide ghost is useless to me?
