Hi - I have 2 current hdds in a raid 0 array. I want to change to a single hdd. I am using Ghost 15 to 'copy hard drive' from the old raid 0 array to the new single drive. Raid 0 is plugged into 2 master sata slots, the new hdd into a slave on the Asus P5b-e plus mobo.
I tick all the options for copying and making the new drive bootable, don't select a letter and the new hdd is unallocated. Ghost copies and says copy has worked.
But when I move the new hdd to the master sata slot (and unplug the raid 0 completely) it won't boot.
Windows 7 (home premium 64bit) repair doesn't work.
I have changed the bios options to 'configure sata as ide' from 'configure sata as raid'.
The boot process gets to the windows loading screen briefly, a flash of bsod then reboots.
What can I do? Why isn't it working??
