My son gave me his 7 year old HP desktop PC which I am going to revive. I just finished reloading WinXP Home from the recovery partition on the HDD. The system shipped with a trial version of NAV 2004. I have a 3 User license with 1 install remaining of NIS 2012 that I plan on installing.
What would be the best steps to follow to do this "upgrade?" Should I uninstall the trial version of NAV 2004 first (I have not yet activated it)? Will the current uninstall tool work on NAV 2004? I've never liked installing "over the top" of a previous version.
Any suggestions welcome. 
Next thing is to get rid of all the HP, er, factory bloat-ware. Man, they load a bunch of junk.
