Corrupted Def files?

Use Vista Home Premium OS

This may be a microsoft issue but it involves Norton files so I post here

I was just curious so I was exploring on my computer. Looked at the most recent Virus Defs for Norton that I had

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Definitions\VirusDefs\20100104.053

I right clicked the properties of this folder (20100104.53). When I clicked the security tab, I got this message:

"The Permissions on 20100104.053 are incorrectly ordered which may cause some entries to be ineffective"

The security tab shows the following "groups" from to to bottom

 Creator Owner

System

Admin

User

Creator Owner with no permissions

System and Admin show full permissions

User shows limited ( read and read execute)

now when I go into the folder 20100104.053 and right click properties on some items such as NAVENG32.DLL and right click the security tab

I get the same message

"The Permissions on 20100104.053 are incorrectly ordered which may cause some entries to be ineffective"

when I open up the security tag on that particular item NAVENG32.EXE

It shows

the following "groups" from to to bottom (No Creator Owner this time)

System

Admin

User

System and Admin show full permissions

User shows limited ( read and read execute)

The item is digitally signed by symantec but has a modified date on 1/1/2098

My questions:

1. So does the message

"The Permissions on 20100104.053 are incorrectly ordered which may cause some entries to be ineffective"

mean that the file is somehow messed up?

2. Is there anything I should do such as change the the heirarchy and put admin over system?

3. Does it not really matter since I am able to run scans without issue and detect even tracking cookie
