Corrupted Identity Safe files and restore failure. NIS 2009

I upgraded from Norton Anti-Virus 2007 to Norton Internet Security 2009 on 12/8/08.  The program worked fine until this morning, however I now find that my Norton Identity Safe data has somehow become corrupted.  I am unable to restore from the backup file.  Message:  “Unable to process the file for restore.  Please make sure the file name is correct and try again.”  I have checked and re-checked the file name and password several times but keep getting the same message.  All of the posts I see about Identity Safe trouble refer to NIS 2008.  Is there a fix for 2009?
