Cortana vs Norton issues. Almost lost faithe!

Very poor experience with Internet Security that has me wondering! Norton needs to do their homework if they do not want to scare off Windows 10 customers!

The process I just went through, which was very methodical and thorough!

Recently reimaged my laptop a Windows 10 Pro 64bit laptop (fdisk kind of clean)...

- Ran Windows update to the Nth degree to ensure it's readiness for Norton.

- Installed Internet Security.

- It killed Cortana / Windows Search!

- I ran update for Norton which froze in process and caused stability issues with windows itself.

- Luckily I was able to gain enough stability / control to reliably uninstall Norton.

Guess what! Cortana features restored! Nice work Norton!

Now, if the failed update I attempted to install would have fixed Cortana issues that were clearly linked to the installation of Norton, smart people would have embedded that update in the base install that all new online customers would have downloaded since the release of the update.

If it the update would not have fixed Cortana issues I have little faith that Norton's statement that their products are Windows 10 compatible, at least 100% compatible.

Any guidance before I attempt to reinstall without ruining my system would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Always Cautious
