Cost Differences between Countries!

Hi,

If I take the option of renewing my subscription in Australia, it is 189 AUD to renew 3 PC's for 2 years, but if I select the US as a country listing, THE SAME SOFTWARE is 114 US. Why is there such a vast difference?

Why wouldn't I switch to a competitor because of price gouging?

If you want to save money don't Renew -- do some store spotting and buy boxed retail sets when they are on sale with rebates. Norton's OnLine prices are usually higher than out in the market because they can't undercut their authorized dealers and keep them. That's what makes Amazon tick ....

If you want 2 years buy 2 copies (if you can get the rebates on two copies and not just one per household)  and use one for the first year and the second a year later since the KEYs don't expire unless you activate and they apply for past and future versions on present policy.

Have you checked competitors' price policy? -- I'd be surprised if you did not find apparent discrepencies whatever the product. It's a fact of commercial life whether groceries or software.

Cost differences between countries has to do with trade agreements, tariffs, extra taxes, as mentioned, as well as currency exchange.  Price gouging may be the issue but it is not being done by Symantec. Write to your local member of government. :smileywink:
