I was charged for an automatic renewal $114 while I can buy the same Norton 360 from Amazon for $34. It is absurd to get overcharged, abused and cheated by the company I am its loyal customer for more than 10 years.
Norton posts subscription terms on product page...your location:
for example: https://us.norton.com/
* Important Subscription, Pricing and Offer Details:
Renewal Cycle: automatically renews after the initial term and is billed monthly or annually depending on your billing cycle, unless the subscription renewal is cancelled before the day you are due to be charged in your account or by contacting us here or at 844-488-4540. Click here to learn how.
Renewal Prices: may be higher than the price for the initial term and are subject to change. Renewal prices can be found here. Annual payments are charged up to 35 days before the subscription is due to renew, and we send you a notification email with the renewal price before.
Credit card companies/banks etc have for a long time now set up a system that 'helps' card holders who have recurring payments set up with their card. What the service does is ensure that you do not bounce any payments because of a change in expiry date, or credit card number, or even as you have found if you change cards altogether. If you do not want this service, you could try contacting your card issuer and see if they can disable that 'feature'. (credit peterweb)
