I'm not a novice and I still find myself looking up terms quite often. My favorite sites for definitions and understanding of concepts are:
Wikipedia and Dictionary.com. The google search engine is also my friend. For Norton / Symantec product related terms I also use the search box in the very top right corner of the forums page. (It's also a good time to note that the search box on the top right is a site search, whereas the search box located on the left side of the page is a forum only search.)
Perhaps other users will share their favorite sites for definitions and terms.
This is a great suggestion for the forums, and may tie in well with another future enhancement thats on the drawing board.
