CPU at 100% running Norton but I did not request it Had to restart as it runs for hours

This has happened 3 times in the last few days, one time I let it go for 11 hours and had to shut down. Task manager shows Norton on top

have you run the norton repair in setting and troubleshoot?

@Chino_Steve Boot the computer into safe mode and remove Norton. Reboot again. Allow the computer to see things without Norton and review. Manually remove ALL folders named Norton, Avast and Symantec, reboot again. Reinstall Norton, lets see if anything changes.

learned to do that when having problems sometimes just install process needs it , hope works out

It has been some time since I did the Norton Repair and have not seen the issue return. Thanks for your help

Thanks for the suggestion but doing a Norton Repair seems to have fixed the issue
