2 days ago, my Crashplan installation disappeared. I certainly didn't do it. Crashplan is an incredibly reliable piece of software. It just never flakes out. I downloaded the install package from crashplan.com and Norton flagged it as "unproven" and wouldn't allow it to run. I had to over-ride it to install. I opened a case with Symantec. They did not deny that Norton uninstalled Crashplan. The wording was vague, but the implication (as I interpret it) that Crashplan somehow became suspicious and Norton removed it. I welcome Symantec to jump in here and help clear this up. I was without backup for almost 3 days, which can be catastrophic. Had I lost data for a customer.... well, that loses a customer!
