None in particular. I am just very concerned that a backup ghost image that I create with the very latest patched version of the program may not be able to be read or restored properly by a boot recovery disk that is 10 months old now. Are my fears unfounded?
They are definitely unfounded. The updates are not with any dramatic change in how the program operates. The updates are intended to address problems that have been discovered after the fact.
I purchased Norton Ghost 12 way back in Nov. 2007, and I've seen tons of LiveUpdates to the product download over and over again. What worries me is that my original Recovery Disc that came with my product is quite old now, and I would really like to create a brand new one that has all the updated programs on it.
I don't seem to be able to do that anywhere within the product. Is there an updated .iso image that I can download from Symantec?
Unfortunately, the SRD is not updated in the product. For Ghost 14, if we were to make an update to the product you could make a new recovery disk. Keep in mind that the SRD would only need an update if you encountered a problem in restoring an image. Which components are you specifically concerned about?
