I'm using Norton Family on my kids windows computers, and iPhone. I know that there is no app monitoring on iOS/iPhone, and yet, a bunch of apps vanish when I enable the Norton Companion app, VPN and child profile as instructed. One of the missing apps is not optional- it is a critical medical device interface that we can't do without, so I had to just turn off Norton on the phone. I'd like to be able to use it, so how can I stop it from blocking specific apps?
Hi @emilyokay
On analysing the backend, we could see that curfew policy was enforced on the child's device as per your house rules configuration. We also see that the MDM profile was removed from your iOS device. Hope the apps should not be disappearing now. Please let us know if the issue still persists in your device.
Thanks,
Norton Family team.
No, there are no time or other restrictions on at the time this is happening. Just half the apps are gone as I am adding the device.
Hi @emilyokay
Thanks for reaching out to Norton Family Forum.
It is not possible to allow certain apps during curfew period(enforced based on Time supervision settings).
When the child's iOS device is in the curfew period or when Instant Lock is initiated, Norton Family hides the apps that are installed from App Store including Norton Family and a few of the default apps. Once the curfew period ends or when you unlock the device, the child gets back all the hidden installed apps along with the Norton Family app.
Thanks,
Norton Family team.
