Hi davidgoode,

I was able to view the file you sent with Time Settings.  Thanks!

You have the Automatically lock XX's computer option selected.  When you received the notification, was the kid locked out of the PC?

Thanks,

I get that message all the time that they signed in during curfew hours, i think it just means they signed in to their user account because when i got it they were definitly locked out when i got the message, after they sign into their user account they get the locked out screen

Hi lisalisa,

Please check the thread below.

KaiteQ,

I'm having a similar problem. The program has locked my son out. When I look at on-line activity, it says he tried to log during curfew at 7:31 and 7:50 pm.  Only problem is that it is only 6:30 here and my system clock shows this.

Here is a screen shot of the fake "curfew" problem where the program is reading the time as two hours later than the system clock on the computer.

Hi rocker60,

Do you have any internet timer installed on the PC?

I had a user who experienced a similar issue and had a timer software which synchronized time with a web server.

Thanks,

Katie

rocker60,

Is your son in the same time zone as you are when he uses his PC?

Thanks,

Katie

We seem to be having the same time zone issue on one of our PCs as well.

One of my daughter's PCs shows the correct time, while the other seems to be out by a good 5 hours.  I notice that if I log into the Norton web site using the PC with the incorrect time that the Norton reports all show the incorrect time in the logs so the problem not only effects the online safety software, but also Internet Browsing (at least to the Norton online safety website).

The local clock on all PCs on the other hand does show the correct time.  This includes the PC with the incorrect website times.

I have also checked and all PCs are using the same Eastern standard time zone.

Is there somewhere specific that Internet Explorer gets it's timezone from that is different from the global PC timezone?  How does Internet Explorer decide which time zone a particular PC is in?

Hi Slider,

Please check the PC with incorrect time to see if there is a timer software on the PC that synchronizes time with other web server.

I assume the PC with incorrect time is in the same time zone as you are.

Thanks,

Katie

I'm having a similar issue.  I've set my daughter's time limits up - which seem to be working fine.  But I get random events posted in the notifications.  Like "signed in during curfew hours" with a time stamp of 4:50 PM.  Her curfew time isn't until 10:00.  She has a laptop.  My other daughter has an iMac and it reports fine.
