I think Norton should have a option of custom installing. I guess we all feel the need to custom install AVs at some point in time. Its not about particular user I have seen many average users wanting to install some features of AV and some not. Suppose in Norton internet security I don't want to install parental control then ? Yes, I can turn it off but it has already taken the space in HDD. That is the point. Take another example, what if somebody wants to install NIS without firewall ? Then it has no choice. So make request to all programmers is to give the option of custom installing.
