Customer Support

I find the Norton website very unfriendly to someone like myself who has limited computer competency, and who has some rather basic questions, such as:

What exactly does my Norton 360 cover?

What does Norton Security that I now see being promoted do different from Norton 360?

Norton 360 tells me periodically that it has completed a backup, and I have no idea what has been backed up. Is it the software on my computer, is it data, including pictures, or both?

I recently started using Google Chrome as my browser. Now i keep getting a pop-up saying I need to re-install my Norton tool bar. However, when I say I want to do this, even though I'm not sure why, and really don't want it, I get a warning saying this will allow someone to alter and change data on websites I visit. That certainly seems like I'd be creating a security nightmare. What is recommended that I do?

What can be done to actually talk to a human being with Symantec/Norton or at least be able to submit questions over the internet and receive answers from someone with the company?.

Peter, Thanks for the reading and replying..

Regarding trying at different times of the day - if it was a case of not getting a reply I would keep trying but I don't get that far. I have turned off pop-up blocking although there isn't any sign on the browser of this being an issue - just in case. I tried last night and several times this morning - UK time.

To clarify my problem:-

From the support page I click on Request a Refund. This takes me to a Contact Us page - clicking on the live chat then goes to a page asking "what can we help you with" clicking on the request a Norton Automatic Renewal Refund taks me to the Contact Us page and on it goes.

Feedback - this was left using the tab on the feedback form but I think I also tried the request to be contacted form. Tried that again anyway so will see what happens.

Keep trying at different times of day.

Not sure where you left the feedback, but I doubt you are going to get any quick response, if any from there.

Oh dear David so we are not alone.   You do begin to wonder if it is you.    It is happening far too often and yet there is nothing from Norton to reassure any of us.     My Norton VPN is fine on the phone but as far as laptops are concerned forget it,

welcome to the dilemma.

I have spent in excess of 10 hours on line with their 'help' team (on Mac), and despite 3.5 hours the other night doing a complete re install, VPN disappeared this morning. It is a woeful product and Norton should be ashamed to be still selling it. Good luck

I have Windows 10 on my laptop and every day without fail there is some trauma with this so called VPN.     Today the link is not there at all.  I have restarted, updated, you name it and yet nothing.    I certainly will think twice about paying for it.

What device are you having difficulty with? PC, Android, iOS?

If you look through the forum listings, you will see many posts about the VPN feature of the new Norton 360 products.
