I'm having problems with a Cyber Monday POP up on my home page. I just started 2 days ago. Firefox has POPUps blocked... Norton 2012 and spybot did not detect a threat. win XP SP3 has all updates applied. The screen for the problem is attached. Connecting to www.allmyfaves.com with ie8 does not display the popup. My Temp file and trash bins have been emptied. The problem continues.... What is the next step?

Are you saying this is a valid popup and not a virus? If so why didn't Firefox block the popup. It now takes 2 min. for my home page to load. Someting has changed over te last 2 days.
Hi creiss,
It is a valid popup from the site itself. It is a bit of JavaScript that runs if the site has set a particular cookie on your browser. So you may not see the popup if you have scripting disabled, or if you block cookies. A similar popup occurs when you visit Norton Support that asks you to identify the product you are using.
Another reason maybe because Firefox and Internet Explorer 9 is more standards compliant than Internet Explorer 8. The website could have been using some codes IE8 did not understand. To clear cache, press Ctrl shift delete and check all the boxes except preserve data for favorite sites. Then press delete.
